Sales Warrior Lesson 16: Risk

Many of the techniques of classical strategy revolve around reducing risk. Risk is defined almost exclusively in terms of costs, and Sun Tzu usually talked about cost in very economic terms. The risks of competition in his era as well as our own are largely economic.

As we have said before, a salesperson's wealth is his or her time. Time is the most limited resource you have. Your success as a salesperson depends directly on spending your time as wisely as possible. The fact that you are currently spending your time on these lessons means that you want to use your time more effectively. This is the primary role of good front-line strategy.
